Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Program Educational Objectives of the ECE Department at Horizon College are designed to prepare graduates to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Establish a Strong Foundation:<\/strong> Develop a solid understanding of electronics, communication systems, and core engineering principles to solve real-world problems and pursue higher education or research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Excel in Professional Careers:<\/strong> Succeed in technical or managerial roles in industry, academia, and government organizations through effective application of engineering skills and ethical practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Engage in Lifelong Learning:<\/strong> Continuously upgrade knowledge and skills in emerging technologies, innovation, and interdisciplinary areas to adapt to global trends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Demonstrate Social Responsibility:<\/strong> Apply engineering solutions with awareness of societal, environmental, and ethical considerations, contributing responsibly to the development of the community and the nation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Graduates of the ECE program will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. PSO 1 \u2013 Design and Development:<\/strong> Apply core knowledge of electronics and communication systems to design, develop, and analyze analog\/digital circuits, communication protocols, and embedded systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. PSO 2 \u2013 Technology Integration:<\/strong> Utilize modern tools and programming skills to solve problems in areas such as VLSI design, IoT, wireless communication, and signal\/image processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. PSO 3 \u2013 Industry Readiness:<\/strong> Demonstrate the ability to work on multidisciplinary projects and contribute effectively in team environments with practical and hands-on experience from internships, industry visits, and projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Program Outcomes (POs)<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      As per NBA guidelines, the ECE graduates will possess the following outcomes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Engineering Knowledge:<\/strong> Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to solve complex engineering problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Problem Analysis:<\/strong> Identify, formulate, and analyze complex engineering problems using principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Design\/Development of Solutions:<\/strong> Design solutions for complex problems and develop system components or processes that meet specified needs with consideration for public health, safety, and environmental factors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Conduct Investigations:<\/strong> Use research-based knowledge and methods to design experiments, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
