The <strong>Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IIC)<\/strong> and the <strong>Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)<\/strong> have been established to drive this vision forward through structured programs, mentorship, and support systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>IIC &amp; EDC Policy<\/strong> serves as a formal framework to guide innovation activities, promote entrepreneurial mindsets, and support the creation of startups and impactful projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives of the Policy:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To create an ecosystem that encourages innovation and entrepreneurial activities on campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To develop institutional infrastructure to support ideation, prototyping, and startup incubation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To promote interdisciplinary collaboration and industry linkage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To support students and faculty in patenting, funding, and commercializing their innovations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To align institutional innovation efforts with national programs like <strong>Startup India<\/strong>, <strong>Atal Innovation Mission<\/strong>, and <strong>MHRD\u2019s Innovation Cell<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IIC)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Focus Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conducting innovation-centric workshops, hackathons, and seminars<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identifying and mentoring student innovators and faculty researchers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness and filing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encouraging participation in national innovation challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The IIC will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting all innovation-related activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It will collaborate with external organizations, industries, and academic partners for co-innovation opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Focus Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entrepreneurial skill development through bootcamps, webinars, and training sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business idea validation, market research support, and business plan development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connecting student startups with mentors, incubators, and funding agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organizing networking events with successful entrepreneurs and alumni<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Support Offered:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to co-working spaces, startup labs, and incubation support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seed funding through institutional and external grants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidance for legal, marketing, and operational aspects of startups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Policy Implementation:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IIC &amp; EDC activities will be governed by a committee comprising faculty, industry experts, alumni, and student representatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual innovation and entrepreneurship calendar will be prepared and monitored<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular performance evaluations and activity reporting will be done through the <strong>National Innovation and Startup Policy (NISP)<\/strong> portal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review and Updates:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Continuous feedback from stakeholders will be incorporated to improve the effectiveness of initiatives<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The policy will be reviewed annually to align with dynamic innovation trends and regulatory frameworks<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IIC &amp;
