Promoting Equity, Empowering Communities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At Horizon College of Engineering, we are committed to fostering a campus culture that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive<\/strong> of students from all backgrounds. The SC, ST, OBC & Minority Cell<\/strong> functions as a vital body to safeguard the rights and welfare of students belonging to marginalized and underrepresented communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This cell ensures that the policies of the Government of India and statutory bodies such as the UGC<\/strong> and AICTE<\/strong> are implemented in letter and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives of the Cell:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • To ensure equal opportunity and access to academic resources, support services, and campus facilities for SC, ST, OBC & Minority students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To create awareness about constitutional rights, scholarship schemes, and reservation benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To provide guidance and counseling on academic, financial, and personal matters<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To address grievances related to discrimination or inequality and ensure timely redressal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To promote participation in co-curricular, cultural, and leadership activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    \n\n\n\n

    Functions of the Cell:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Act as a bridge between students and the institution in addressing concerns related to inclusion and equity<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Disseminate information regarding government scholarships, fellowships, and welfare schemes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Organize seminars, workshops, and empowerment programs on education, rights, and opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Collaborate with the Grievance Redressal Committee to resolve complaints fairly and sensitively<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Maintain records of beneficiaries and conduct periodic impact assessments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
