At Horizon College of Engineering, we believe that regular and structured performance appraisal is essential for the professional growth of our faculty and staff. The Appraisal Form serves as a key tool to evaluate contributions, set future goals, and ensure alignment with institutional values and objectives.
Our appraisal system promotes a culture of accountability, merit recognition, and continuous improvement across academic and administrative functions.
Purpose of the Appraisal Form:
- To evaluate faculty and staff performance based on academic, administrative, and extracurricular contributions
- To recognize achievements in teaching, research, innovation, and institutional service
- To provide constructive feedback for personal and professional development
- To support promotions, incentives, training needs, and career progression plans
- To align individual goals with departmental and institutional missions
Key Components of the Appraisal Form:
- Personal & Professional Details
- Name, Designation, Department, Years of Service, Qualifications
- Academic Contributions
- Subjects taught, results achieved, use of ICT tools, innovations in pedagogy
- Research & Publications
- Papers published, conferences attended, patents filed, funded projects
- Student Engagement & Mentoring
- Participation in student development, counseling, club activities
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Roles in committees, event coordination, additional duties
- Training & Development
- FDPs, workshops, certifications completed during the assessment period
- Self-Evaluation & Goals
- Reflection on past performance and plans for the upcoming year
- Remarks from HOD/Principal
- Qualitative feedback and rating from the immediate reporting authority
Submission Guidelines:
- The Appraisal Form must be completed at the end of each academic year.
- Submit the signed copy to the Head of Department or upload it via the ERP/HR portal.
- Final review and scoring will be done by the Performance Review Committee.
